O’REILLY WELCOMES NEW BUILDING FOR GAELSCOIL IN CAVAN

The news that the building which was formerly Jacksons Garage Showroom, on Farnham Street Cavan is to be furnished and converted into classroom space for the Cavan Town Gaelscoil has been warmly welcomed by Fine Gael TD for Cavan, Deputy Joe O’Reilly. ‘The move from the old Scout building to this well-appointed, modern building represents real progress for Cavan Gaelscoil’ stated the Deputy.

‘I welcome the support by Minister for Education, Ruairi Quinn TD and the Government for this very important facility. It is a vote of confidence in the excellent teaching staff and school community that make up Cavan Gaelscoil’ he continued.

‘Cavan Gaelscoil deserves this recognition of their excellent standard and vital work in maintaining Irish as a living language and preserving our rich heritage. The decision in principle by the Minister and the Department to relocate the Gaelscoil in improved facilities does not prevent any more permanent school building being constructed at some time in the future.’ concluded Deputy O’Reilly.
