O’REILLY WELCOMES ADDITIONAL FUNDING OF €855,000 FOR CAVAN WATER SERVICES

Fine Gael TD for Cavan, Deputy Joe O’Reilly has today, 6th November, welcomed the news that an additional €855,000 in funding was allocated to Cavan County Council under the Rural Water Programme 2013.

Commenting after he was informed of this news by Minister Hogan, the Deputy said ‘I was delighted to learn that additional funding of €855,000 was allocated to Cavan County Council for their Water Services.’

This allocation will be used for the following projects;
• Drinking Water Compliance – Baileborough, Ballyjamesduff, Swanlinbar, various other schemes – €251,250.
• Waste Water Compliance– Dowra, Ballyconnell, Killashandra, Kilnaleck & Ballyjamesduff – €536,250.
• Integrated Constructed Wetlands – Reedbed refurbishments at Gowna, Ballinagh, Blacklion & Kingscourt – €67,500.

‘We have a duty to provide quality water nationally and this cannot be done without adequate investment and for that reason, I very much welcome today’s announcement’ concluded the Deputy.
